Velda introduces a new pond plant soil in collaboration with Moerings water plant nursery. The unique mix of the components of this pond plant soil guarantees optimal water circulation, preventing acidification and achieving sublime growth and flowering of the roots and the plant. This pond plant soil contains few organic components and is guaranteed acid-free.

In fact, the soil determines the biological balance in the pond. With the know-how of Moerings Water Plant Nursery, this Pond Plant Soil has been composed, especially for obtaining a vigorous growth of water lilies and all kinds of water plants growing from the water. The organic nutrients and the correctly dosed trace elements effect this vigorous growth for a long time. The loose structure of the material guarantees good circulation in the pond bottom of oxygen-rich water.

Usage advice
At least a 15 cm thick layer of pond plant soil should be applied for water lilies and most bog plants. To prevent water clouding, it is advisable to cover the soil with Fine Grain Substrate or washed gravel. If the plants are placed in plastic baskets, use a Velda Cloth Liner to prevent rinsing of the soil and thus water clouding.
